Edgar— A 13-2 start for Edgar in its game against Abbotsford looked like the Wildcats would cruise to a win. Abbotsford fought back, getting to within 2 with 5 minutes to go. Edgar pulled away in the waning minutes, however, and picked up a 59-47 Marawood win.
Trailing 31-20 at the half, the Falcons came out with a purpose, going on a 10-3 run. When Maggie Seefluth made a basket with 2:34 left, Abbotsford trailed 46-44, and had the momentum. Edgar pulled away down the stretch, sealing the day, led by Makenna Guden.
Guden led all scorers with 23 points, and McKenna Schraufnagel added 15 points. Kallie Falteisek led Abbotsford with 14 points, and Melanie Kunze had 13 points. Kunze pulled down 18 rebounds and added 5 blocks and 5 steals in the loss.
