Newman girls handle Phillips, Ganski sets school mark for three pointers

Phillips– It was raining three pointers for the Newman Cardinals on Thursday night as they defeated Phillips 85-61.

Jadelyn Ganski led the long range attack for Newman, burying ten three point baskets.  Ganski led all scorers with 34 points.  Ganski’s 10 three pointers in a single game represents a new school record. She eclipsed the previous school record of seven three pointers in a game.

Ganski was assisted by Lauren Shields, who scored 17 points, and Julia Seidel, who contributed 12.

Newman is now 10-1 in conference play and 14-3 overall.
