Kowalski, LeCerte, Kane, and Trunkel in top 5: WIAA Boys Basketball 3 Point Challenge Leaderboard

Madison— The latest WIAA Boys Basketball 3 Point Challenge Leaderboard is out, and area players find themselves ranked among the state’s top long-range shooters.

Casey Kowalski of Mosinee is ranked #1 in Division 2. Ryan LaCerte(#3) and Jack Kane(#5) of Wausau East are also ranked in D2.

Neillsville’s Braden Trunkel is ranked  #4 in Division 4.

Division 5 finds Cade Lamb of Almond-Bancroft(#6) and Matthew Kissner of Pittsville(#10) are ranked in Division 5.

Adam Willoughby of SPASH(7th) and Brant Bohman of Marshfield(10th) are ranked in the top ten for Division 1.

Contest Information

The WIAA will again sponsor a 3-Point Challenge as part of the Boys Basketball State Tournament. To be eligible coaches must enter player information on wissports.net in order for the players to be eligible.The top two players in each division based on shooting percentage (min. 75 attempts) will be selected to participate.

The 3-Point Challenge will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 9:30 am at the Kohl Center in Madison. Fans can attend the event with tickets from the morning/afternoon session.
