Wausau— Take a look at the Athlete of the Week candidates and vote today!

Ryan Applebee, Tri-County– Applebee went 5-0 Saturday at the Bruce Tourbier Tournament in Laconia with wins over Ripon, Clintonville/Marion, Shawano, Chilton/Hilbert, and Laconia to improve his season record to 30-4.
Alyssa Underwood, Colby– Alyssa Underwood led the Hornets with 17 points in a big win over rival Neillsville on Friday.
Mitch Miller, Pacelli– Miller had 16 points and 17 rebounds for Pacelli in a non-conference win over rival Assumption on Saturday.
Kenadi Dedrich, Athens– Diedrich led Athens with 28 points and also picked up eight steals in a 69-65 win over Phillips.
Brooke Hinker, Greenwood– Hinker netted 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, both game-highs, as Greenwood blasted Granton 67-35.
Zion Turner, D.C. Everest– Turner hit a major career milestone this week as he crossed the 1,000 career point mark in a big Wisconsin Valley Conference win over Wausau West.
Maddie Schires, Wausau West– Schires became Wausau West’s all time leading scorer, surpassing Jasmin Samz, as the Warriors cruised to a win over D.C. Everest.
Ryan LaCerte, Wausau East– LaCerte was absolutely unconscious in the first half. He drained five three pointers in the opening frame and scored 17 of East’s first 20 points in a 90-89 win over rival D.C. Everest on Tuesday night. LaCerte finished the game with 29 points.
