Marshfield voted CWS Football Team of the Year

Marshfield— Central Wisconsin football fans have spoken, and in a tight race, the Marshfield Tigers were voted the 2018 CWS Football Team of the Year.

Marshfield picked up 720 votes, ahead of second place Gilman, who received 712 votes.

The Tigers were undefeated champions of the Valley Football Association, and advanced to the Division 2 state semifinals, where they fell to Homestead 12-7, finishing with a 12-1 record.

Third place went to State Champion Iola-Scandinavia, who garnered 320 votes.

Over 2300 votes were cast in this year’s balloting. Congratulations to all area teams and fans for supporting their teams.
