D.C. Everest Boys Basketball– The Evergreens are 2-0 on the young season and look like a team to keep an eye on as things progress.  Everest defeated Medford 80-65 on Friday and hammered Antigo 99-70 in the season opener on November 27.

SPASH Boys Hockey– The Panthers are off to a blazing start this season with a 3-0 record as of December 2.  SPASH’s week included a 5-1 win over Antigo, a 6-0 thumping of Marshfield, and a 3-1 win over Waukesha.

Newman Girls Basketball– It’s been an interesting stretch for the Cardinals in early season action.  After getting thumped by Wausau West on November 27, Newman rebounded with a 62-36 win over state-ranked Prentice.

Pacelli Girls Basketball– Pacelli notched a win over Marion on November 27 and looks like a contender in the early season.  The Cardinals will host rival Rosholt on December 4.

Wisconsin Rapids Boys Hockey– The Red Raiders suffered a 5-0 loss in their season opener, but rebounded in a big way against Waupaca on November 27.  Colton Flammini scored six goals  to lead the Red Raiders to a 8-4 victory.

Assumption Girls Basketball– Don’t look now, but the Royals are 4-0 in early season action.  The Royals showed off their defensive ability against Abbotsford on Thursday as they secured a 52-24 non-conference victory.

Neillsville Girls Basketball-– The Warriors are out to battle for a Cloverbelt Eastern title, and although it won’t be easy, Neillsville showed its power, destroying Black River Falls 63-16 in nonconference action.

Loyal Girls Basketball-– The Greyhounds picked up a convincing win of their own, downing Greenwood 72-22.

Nekoosa/Assumption Wrestling– Picking up 169 points, N/A wrestlers took the top spot at the Black River Falls Invite.

Could you please change to Nekoosa/ Assumption Wrestling. We do not have any wrestlers from Port Edwards at the time being. Just want to make sure the Assumption wrestlers get the credit they also deserve. Thank You.
