Brookfield– The D.C. Everest girls basketball team staged a big rally in the second half of their game against Waukesha West on Saturday night, but couldn’t get over the top and suffered a 36-32 loss.
The Evergreens outscored West 21-15 in the second half.
Zoey Minnihan led Everest with 12 points. Alexis Wojnowiak added eight.
Waukesha West had only five players break in to the scoring column, led by Darragh Dixon’s 12 points.
Everest falls to 0-3 and will host Lakeland on November 29.
