Clintonville— The Abbotsford Falcons took on tough competition at the Clintonville Trucker Invitational, and came back in  bracket play to pick up the title.

Abbotsford went 1-2 in pool play before turning up the heat in bracket play.  The 5th seeeded Falcons first took down host Clintonville before coming back to avenge their earlier loss to #1 seeded Shawano in three sets.

“We brought the complete package to the floor on Saturday,” said Abbotsford Head Coach Lee Schreiber. “Our girls executed all the aspects of the game  running a high level defense, paired with an unstoppable offense, and a  tremendous day of serving.”

Abbotsford took the title with another win over a team they lost to in pool play, St. Mary’s Catholic, winning in three sets.

“Resilience is the word that best describes the Abbotsford Falcon Volleyball team this season.  Injury and illness has plaqued this team since day one of the season and yet they still find ways to win,” explained Schreiber.
