Wausau— Take a look at the CWS Team of the Week candidates and vote today!

Owen-Withee Football— The Blackhawks celebrated Homecoming in a big way, picking up their first win of the season, a 53-14 drubbing of Thorp.
Athens Volleyball— The BlueJays took down three teams at the Tomahawk Quadrangular, picking up wins over Tomahawk, Prentice, and Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Marshfield Football— The Tigers flexed their muscles Friday evening, when they took it to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, picking up a 52-18 win. Marshfield moves to 5-0 in the VFA West and 6-0 overall.
Spencer/Columbus Football-– The Rockets continue to roll, and in a matchups of 5-0 teams tied atop the Cloverbelt, S/C punished Colby, winning 41-0.
Almond-Bancroft Football— The Eagles used a punishing ground game and cruised to a 35-0 Central Wisconsin Conference win over Rosholt.
Wausau East Girls Swimming— East trounced Marshfield 121-49 to remain tied for first in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
Stratford Volleyball— The Tigers proved they continue to be among the state’s best in any division, as they took down all comers, taking the title at the Bud Nelson Invite, hosted by Abbotsford. Earlier in the week, Stratford defeated Marawood Conference rival and perennial power Newman Catholic in straight sets.
Loyal Football– The Greyhounds opened up on Athens Friday evening, busting out to a 48-0 first half lead. The BlueJays’ 54-26 win improved their record to 4-0 in the Cloverwood(5-1 overall) and tied with Abbotsford for first place.
Gilman Football— Gilman went on the road and dampened Assumption’s Homecoming, throttling the Royals 42-6.
Pacelli Football— The Cardinals picked up a win on their Homecoming, defeating Weyauwega-Frement 28-22, and move to 2-2 in the Central Wisconsin Conference.
SPASH Football— SPASH picked up its first win of the season, a 21-0 win over Wausau West.
Abbotsford Volleyball— Abbotsford had a successfull week, picking up Marawood conference wins over Chequamegon and Rib Lake in straight sets, and then advancing to the finals of the Bud Nelson Invite on Saturday before falling to mighty Stratford.
Auburndale Football— The Apaches methodically took control in their win over Marathon, controlling both sides of the line of scrimmage in a 35-6 Marawood Conference win.
Assumption Girls Tennis— The Royals defeated Black River Falls 6-1 on Thursday, picking up their third straight win.
