Rapids shuts out Wausau 10-0

Wausau– The Wisconsin Rapids Rangers defeated Wausau 10-0 on Wednesday as Donovan Brandl tossed a gem.

Brandl picked up the win, going five and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and no runs while striking out six. Ethan Peters threw one third of an inning in relief.

Meanwhile, the Rangers’ offense got going late as they pushed across four runs in the fifth and five runs in the sixth.

Rapids pounded out 12 hits.

Jake Sullivan knocked in four runs on three hits.  Nathan Krommenakker and Cody Bredl had two hits for the Rangers.

“We are still in the hunt for the conference title and will be looking for a big win Tuesday against Stevens Point,” said Rapids coach Cort Halbur.

The Rangers play a home doubleheader Friday night against Adams-Friendship starting at 5:30 p.m.
