Colby— Lexi Baehr’s two RBI double in the third inning proved to be the game winner, as Spencer held off Colby/Abbotsford 5-2 in Cloverbelt Conference action.

“Our defense is really finding its groove.  Kayla really had a great day at 1st base,” shared Spencer Head Coach Laschel Canfield.  ‘And after waiting and wanting a ball hit to her, Shaelee came up with big defense to end the game in the 7th.”

Sadie Mercier was 2 x 4 for the Rockets.

Spencer made the most of their 5 hits, capitalizing on six stolen bases.

Spencer improves to 10-1 in the Cloverbelt, 11-5 overall.

The Rockets host Columbus Catholic for a doubleheader on Thursday(4:00) and hosts Gilman on Friday(5:00)
