Wausau West Boys Golf– The Warriors earned a first place finish in Leg 5 of the Wisconsin Valley Conference meet on Friday with a team score of 339. The Warriors currently hold a 32-31 lead over SPASH with two legs to go.
Rapids Softball– After falling to SPASH on Tuesday, the Red Raiders bounced back with two wins over Tomah on Saturday. Rapids took the first game 1-0 and the second game 8-3 with the highlight being a two-run shot by Dani Hove.
Abbotsford Baseball– The Falcons edged rival Edgar 8-7 in thrilling fashion as they scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh on Friday.
Athens Softball-– The Bluejays brought their lumber to Thorp for Slamfest on Saturday, picking up 13-8 and 12-8 wins.
Assumption Baseball– The Royals suffered a defeat to Marathon on Monday, but bounced back to down the Red Raiders on Thursday 3-1 to keep the pressure up in the Marawood South.
Edgar Boys/Girls Track– The Wildcats’ track teams each took first place at their home invitational with the boys holding off Loyal and the girls racing past Auburndale.
Tri-County Softball– T-C waxed Pittsville 16-0 as Amber Baehman went 3-3 with a home run and Kenzy Reilley also had an inside the park homer for the Penguins.
Neillsville Baseball – The Warriors took down Granton as if they were playing football, picking up a 28-0 convincing win.
SPASH Girls Soccer– The Panthers took a 5-1 victory over Marshfield on May 8 as Abby Gemza scored two goals to lead SPASH. SPASH currently sits at 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
Pacelli Softball– The Cardinals have been regulars in team of the week voting, and for good reason. Pacelli is now 15-0 and stands at 8-0 in the CWC-South as the regular season winds down and we head into the playoffs.
Colby Girls Track— The Colby girls took the top spot Thursday at the Abbotsford track invite, easily taking first with a 35 point margin over Rib Lake.
