Wisconsin Rapids-– Even though winter weather has kept area softball teams from getting much time at all on the diamond, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln’s Taylor Mancl continues to prove to be a dangerous weapon for the Red Raiders. CWS: What classes are you taking this year?
Mancl: Intro to Business and Marketing, CNS-Chem/Bio, Algebra 2, English 2, Speech, World History, Phy Ed 2.
CWS: What is your favorite class?
Mancl: Gym or any Business class.
CWS: What are your hobbies?
Mancl: Playing sports, working out, spending time with family and friends, and just staying active.
CWS: Who is/was your favorite teacher?
Mancl: Mrs. Thom.
CWS: What is the most unusual food you have eaten?
CWS: What is your favorite music to listen to?
Mancl: Hip-hop or Country.
CWS: What are your plans after high school?
CWS: If they made a movie about you, and your life, what would it be called?
Mancl: The Crazy life of Taylor.
CWS: What other sports do you play?
Mancl: Softball, Basketball and Volleyball.
CWS: Which teammate would you not want to be stranded with on a deserted island?
Mancl: There isn’t a teammate that I wouldn’t want to be stranded on an Island with. We all became family and we all have different strengths and weaknesses so whatever teammate I am with on a deserted island, we will find our way off by working together.
CWS: What is your most memorable moment as an athlete?
Mancl: My most memorable moment as an athlete is definitely taking second at the state softball tournament last year.
CWS: Who is your favorite athlete?
Mancl: My favorite athlete is Vince Biegel.
CWS: What do you enjoy most about playing home games?
Mancl: The best thing about home games is the intensity of conference rivals and the volume and energy that the fans and teams make.
CWS: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln?
Mancl: The best thing about being a student athlete at Lincoln High School is the support and encouragement from the community.
CWS: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?
Mancl: Never give up and follow your dreams because you can do anything you put your mind to if you just believe.
