Wausau— Take a look at the CWS Athlete of the Week candidates and vote today!

Brooke Jaworski, Wausau West– Jaworski took control at the Wisconsin Valley Conference indoor meet at UWSP and left the rest of the field in the dust. Among her accomplishments were first place finishes in the 60 meter dash, the 400 meter dash, the 200 meter dash, and the long jump.
John Hyland, SPASH– Hyland was a key member of the SPASH boys track team’s first place finish at the WVC indoor meet. Hyland notched first place finishes in 1,600 meter run and the 3,200 meter run, respectively.
Kelly Nielsen, Greenwood-– Nielsen picked up three titles at the Meurett Track Invitational at Neillsville. Nielsen won the 45 meter dash and finished first in both the long jump and triple jump.
Jack Wenzel, Rapids– Wenzel came up big for the Red Raiders baseball team by collecting two hits and driving in three runs as Rapids upended Wisconsin Valley Conference foe Wausau East 10-0.
Thomas Dopp, Wild Rose– Dopp had three hits and two RBI as Wild Rose toppled Tri-County on April 12 by the final score of 8-1.
Erica Pronschinske, Tri-County– Pronschinske struck out seven in four innings of work, and had a monster game at the plate, picking up a double and triple, and collected seven RBI. Tri-County defeated Wild Rose 19-1.
Savannah Schley, Loyal— Schley came away with two titles at Neillsville’s Meuret Invitational, taking the top spot in the 800 and 1600 meter runs.
