Athens– After a rough stretch that saw them get shut out in each of their last two games, the Assumption Royals were able to rebound for a 27-21 win against Athens on Friday night.
The Royals had 353 yards of total offense and limited the Blue Jays to just 186 yards.
Teddy Ashbeck led the Royals with 132 rushing yards and one touchdown. Aden Elson added two touchdowns on the ground for the Royals and Cole Statz also had one touchdown.
Seth Coker had 55 rushing yards for Athens, while Klay Ellenbecker added 53 yards.
Assumption is now 2-2 on the year, while Athens falls to 0-4.
