Wisconsin Rapids –– Wisconsin Rapids junior Beth Borski is a multi-sport athlete, having been a member of Lincoln golf, basketball, and softball teams. Softball is where Borski has seen the most varsity action, where she is in her third season as varsity player for the Red Raiders. CWS caught up with Borski to learn more about the Red Raider student-athlete.
CWS: What classes are you taking this year?
Borski: Intermediate algebra, phy ed, American Dream, Spanish 4, and biology.
CWS: What is your favorite class?
CWS: What are your hobbies?
Borski: Softball, golf, swimming, shopping and watching movies.
CWS: Who is/was your favorite teacher?
Borski: Mrs. Siekert.
CWS: What is your favorite music to listen to?
CWS: What are your plans after high school?
Borski: To go to a university in Wisconsin, not sure for what quite yet.
CWS: What other sports do you play?
CWS: What is your most memorable moment as an athlete?
Borski: Being the underdog team in a game during the state tournament and coming back to beat a team that was all at least 3 times the size of all of us.
CWS: What do you enjoy most about playing home games?
Borski: Having fans and students come and support us and hearing them in the stands, also being used to the field we practice on and get to play on.
CWS: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at LHS?
Borski: Being able to play with classmates.
CWS: What words of wisdom can you give to other student-athletes?
Borski: Don’t take playing for granted, and cherish the great moments. Just have fun and always go 100%.
