SPASH exacts revenge on Eau Claire Memorial

Stevens Point– In a back and forth affair on Tuesday evening, the SPASH Panthers upended Eau Claire Memorial in five sets.

The Panthers lost to Memorial just weeks ago at their home invitational.

SPASH fell in the first set 20-25, but fought back to take the next two sets 25-20, 25-17.  Memorial won the next set easily 25-15,

However, SPASH took the final set 15-13 for a thrilling win.

Kayla Lass led the team with 14 kills and 31 digs.  Lexi Iwanski matched Lass with 14 kills, while Gabby Johnson added seven kills.

Ally Miklesh had 143 assist attempts, 33 of which led to kills.

Rachel Sullivan’s eight blocks led the team.

SPASH will continue play on Thursday evening as they return to Wisconsin Valley Conference action where they will face Wausau East.
