Also check out past nominees and winners on the CWS Featured Athlete Page.

Jenna Schober, Spencer– Schober was 4-4 with a home run and six RBI against Loyal to lead Spencer to at least a share of their third straight Cloverbelt-East title.

Evan Thomas/Charlie Okray SPASH– Thomas came through with a 78 in SPASH’s Leg 5 win on Friday at Stevens Point Country Club to lead the Panthers, while Okray shot a 77 in Leg 4.

Mariah Matthews, Rapids– Rapids held off Marshfield to keep the pressure up on D.C. Everest in the Valley standings as Matthews found the back of the net twice.  Both of Matthews’ goals were asssisted by Cierran Nieman.

Gracie Wendels, Assumption– Wendels has been on an absolute tear for Assumption girls soccer.  She kicked off the week (no pun intended) with a six-goal performance against Medford on Monday, then set an Assumption record for most goals in a single game with seven against Adams-Friendship on Thursday.  13 goals in two games is a remarkable feat.

Dakota Landphier, Pittsville– Landphier had three hits and four RBI in Pittsville’s Marawood-South win over Auburndale, then followed that up with a win on the mound against Assumption on Friday, going five plus innings and striking out seven.

Christonna Shafranski, Pacelli– Shafranski was hot at the plate on Saturday, going 3-4 with two doubles and four RBI against Granstburg.  She also had two hits against Athens.

Ian LaGasse, Thorp– LaGasse was 4-4 for the Cardinals with two doubles and three RBI as Thorp downed Osseo-Fairchild.

Chandler Fochs, Wausau West– Fochs was sharp in a huge game against SPASH on Friday.  Fochs threw a complete game, gave up just just one run to put the Warriors in the driver’s seat with the Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule drawing to a close.

Kiana Weiler, Stratford — Weiler pitched a gem as Stratford downed Marathon. She struck out 9 and limited the Red Raiders to just two hits, while also going 2-4 with  2 RBI.
