Pacelli Softball uses 10 run first inning to cruise past Manawa

Stevens Point — The Pacelli Softball Team, in a game moved to Stevens Point after being cancelled two weeks ago because of weather, came out in the first inning and showed visiting Manawa the Cardinals meant business. Pacelli scored 10 runs in the opening inning, and never looked back, downing Manawa  17 – 2.

Pacelli added another run in the second innning, 2 in the third, and four more in the 4th inning, in a game shortened due to the 10 run rule.

Kaylee Krostag went the distance for Pacelli, picking up the win.

Leading the way for the Cardinals were Hannah Raflik and Sami Kay Shafranski.  Raflik was 3 x 4 and had 2 doubles, and she also scored 4 runs. Shafranski was 3 X 3, with a double and 2 runs scored.
