Stevens Point– The SPASH volleyball won their regional semifinal game against Superior in four sets on Thursday night. SPASH dropped the first set 24-26, then picked up the intensity winning the second 25-11, the third 25-9 and the fourth 25-7.
“It took us one game to adjust to the style of play and control our side,” said SPASH head coach Julie Johnson. ”Then we proceeded to have a very convincing win. Our focus is to play to our ability here on out, if we do that we will go far.”
SPASH was led in kills by Molly Williams with 18. Nicki Hauser added 11.
Dani Brzezinski had 35 assists for the Panthers.
With the win, SPASH advances to the regional final, where they will face #3 seed Chippewa Falls on Saturday, October 20.
