Stevens Point– SPASH senior running back Zach Pozorski was named the 2012 Valley Football Association South Offensive Player of the Year. Pozorski led the conference with 930 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. Pozorski’s efforts helped lift SPASH to a 6-1 conference record and a share of the VFA-South crown.
Pozorski was joined on the all conference first team by SPASH tackle Mica Molski, defensive end Adam Wachowiak, cornerback Jon Barnes and safety Mitch Mallek. Wachowiak was named Defensive Player of the Year.
Wisconsin Rapids’ Alex Klonowski, Hayden Biegel and Ryan Duxbury made the first team as well, as did defenders Regis Henke and Zach Bassuener. Biegel was named Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Coach of the Year honors went to Jeramie Korth of Menasha.
