Auburndale– The Pacelli Cardinals volleyball team advanced to the WIAA Division 3 Regional Finals after defeating Auburndale in five sets on Thursday night. Pacelli took the first two sets, then dropped the third and fourth set before coming back for a 15-9 win in the fifth and final set.

Colleen Leary led the Cardinals with 47 assists.

Olivia Migas had 38 digs.  Kasia Wojceihoski had 20 kills and 21 digs, while Jordyn Shields added 17 kills and 16 digs.

Brooke Filtz had 9 solo blocks for Pacelli.

“We came out strong in the first two sets and that gave us the confidence we needed to pull out the fifth set,” said Pacelli head coach Ray Gutowski.  ”Our senior leaders stepped up and played well all night.  We look forward to Saturday at Marathon.”
