Stevens Point–SPASH volleyball battled to a 3-2 record at the Highlander Invite at Homestead High School on Saturday.
SPASH pulled out two victories over Appleton East and one over Waukesha West.
“Overall we struggled with consistency, which has been a big focus for us all year,” said SPASH head coach Julie Johnson. “But, we proved once again that we are fighters in tough situations.”
The highlight for SPASH came in the third game vs. Waukesha West. SPASH was down 5-14 and Angela Lange served 11 straight points to win the game 16-14.
Molly Williams led SPASH with 36 kills on the day. Dani Brezinski had 78 assists.
