What: Bonduel @ Pacelli. When: 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 28. Records: Pacelli 2-3 overall 1-3 CWC-8; Bonduel 1-4 overall, 1-3 CWC-8.
Three Things To Watch
Pacelli’s Mike Fuller: Head coach Steve Raczek said that Fuller was finally feeling healthy last week against Iola-Scandinavia and the senior running back/linebacker turned a multi-touchdown performance. If the Cardinals can establish Fuller they can open up the offense for other play makers like Jesse Raczek.
The Bears’ Balanced Attack: On the surface, it appears as though Bonduel relies on the run. The Bears have gained over 660 of their 1082 total yards in conference play via the running attack, However, they have been able to pick their spots with the passing game, boasting the third highest completion percentage in the conference.
The Cardinals’ “D”: Pacelli’s defense has been spotty at times this season, but the Cardinals looked stout last week. In fact, half of Pacelli’s scores came from the defense. The Cardinals will have to continue to ratchet up the pressure in order to make Bonduel one-dimensional.
By The Numbers
7: Fumbles lost by Bonduel in conference play, a total that is matched only by Weyauwega-Fremont
7.3: Yards per carry for Bonduel’s Hunter Vanderlinden in conference play.
212: Penalty yards assessed to Pacelli, the most of any team in the league.
3: Different Cardinals have recorded four touchdowns in a single game this season. Fuller was the latest to accomplish the feat with his breakout showing last week.
