What: Pacelli at Shiocton. When: 7:00 pm Friday, September 14. Records: Pacelli 1-2 overall 0-2 CWC-8; Shiocton 2-1 overall, 1-1 CWC-8.
Three Things To Watch
Pacelli’s O-Line: The boys upfront are older, but a shade inexperienced, that has caused some issues for the Cardinals early in the season. Head coach Steve Raczek said that the team would continue to make adjustments until they found a winning formula. So far, it appears that Pacelli is still searching.
Shiocton’s Rushing Attack: The Chiefs have averaged 214.3 yards per game on the ground through the first three contests, as opposed to 44.4 with the passing attack. To some, they may seem one-dimensional, but it is simply old school high school football. Shiocton will pound the rock for the majority of the 48 minutes and throw only when necessary or convenient.
Pacelli’s Jesse Raczek: Accounted for four touchdowns last week against Manawa. He will play a large role as Pacelli continues to search out a balanced offensive attack.
By The Numbers
0:The number of points Shiocton has allowed in the first quarter this season.
86: Points the Chiefs have accumulated in the first half through three games this season. This is opposed to just 14 points in the second half.
2: The number of Pacelli players who have scored four touchdowns in a single game this season. Adam Kluck accounted for four scores when the Cardinals downed Aquinas in week one, while Raczek racked up four against Manawa last week.
25.6: The average margin of victory for the winning team in this matchup the past three seasons. Pacelli has taken two of the last three, while the Chiefs racked up an impressive 44-0 victory a season ago.
