The Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders soccer team picked up a 1-0 victory against rival SPASH on Tuesday night when Seth Surendonk scored the game’s only goal on a first half penalty kick.
Rapids had 15 shots in the game compared with SPASH’s 8. Kevin Baneck picked up 6 saves for Rapids, while David Tuchinsky had 11 saves.
With the win, Rapids improves to 7-5-2 overall, while SPASH falls to 4-6-4.

SPASH volleyball is hosting its 2nd annual Diggin’ the Cause volleyball event vs. Wisconsin Rapids on September 20th. Dave Kalloway and Stacy Cole from WIFC Radio 95.5 are the featured guests. There will be raffles and other fundraisers going on during the evening with a $7500.00 goal. All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Center Fund @ St. Michael’s Hospital.
