Auburndale– The game between Auburndale and Tri-County almost didn’t happen. Lucky for the Apaches, they were able to schedule a game with Tri-County after Cadott was forced to end their season because of lack of numbers.
Auburndale took Tri-County to task on Friday night and came away with a 50-6 victory.
Auburndale jumped out to a 28 – 0 lead and never looked back. Blake Anderson was sharp once again, going 9 of 13 for 158 yards 3 passing TDs and one rushing TD. Isaac Castellano had 3 receptions for 69 yards and 2 TD’s. Zach Staats caught a 10 yard strike.
Canyon Weiler got the ground game going as he rushed for 162 yards in the 1st quarter alone. He finished with 225 yards and 2 TDs on only 15 carries. Weiler also caught 2 passes for 32 yards.
Wyatt Weiler rolled up 90 yards of total offense.
The Apaches dominated the line of scrimmage all night long on both sides of the ball. Justin Lewis had 2 sacks while Ben Bolder and Austin Hawkins each had 1 each including 2 forced fumbles. The win improves lifts Auburndale to 4-1. The Apaches will host Phillips next Friday in Auburndale’s homecoming game!
