Menomonie– The SPASH volleyball team came out with a second place finish at a 30-team tournament held at UW-Stout. After winning their first seven matches, SPASH lost in the championship game of the tournament to Oshkosh West.
Molly Williams had 55 kills to lead SPASH, followed by 47 by Nicki Hauser. Dani Brzezinski led the team in assists with 129.
“Overall impressive performance for this team,” said head coach Julie Johnson. ”We were 7-1 for the weekend, we are now 12-3 overall.”
SPASH opens Wisconsin Valley Conference play on Thursday, Aug 30th at Merrill.
