Sacramento, CA– Girls soccer players from Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield, as well as other central Wisconsin locations, traveled to California to compete in the Presidents Cup Nationals, which began play on July 12.

The Strikers are members of the Wisconsin State League at the Premier level; they have played as a team there or in 1st division for approximately 5 years. On day 2 of tournament, play they faced Missouri and won that match 4-3. Next, they faced South Dakota, playing behind South Dakota for most of the match, The Strikers rallied back and pulled out a 4-3 win in the last 10 or so minutes of play. Finally, on day 4, they played the championship game against Illinois. The Strikers started strong and never looked back with a sound game and win 6-0 over Illinois.
