Wisconsin Rapids– The CWS Spotlight has not taken the summer off. Instead, we made it even a little hotter for Rafter Alex Bacon.
CWS: Where will you be attending school next year?
Alex: Back to the University of North Florida.
CWS: What is your major?
Alex: Business management.
CWS: Who has inspired you most in your young career?
Alex: My Dad. He always pushed me through the tough times, and has made me a better player, and person.
CWS: If not baseball what sport?
Alex: Fishing. I have participated in one tournament, and I/we won it.
CWS: What is your favorite sporting moment of your young career?
Alex: By far it was belting a home run on fan appreciation night right here in Wisconsin Rapids.
CWS: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
Alex: Boca Grande in Florida to fish.
CWS: Who is your favorite athlete?
Alex: Dustin Pedroia od the Red Sox. He shows that through hard work, size is not important.
CWS: If you could have a super power what would it be?
Alex: The ability to hit a baseball 700 feet.
CWS: Which came first the chicken or the egg?
Alex: That is a question for God to answer.
CWS: Think this one through, pancakes or waffles?
Alex: Waffles of course.
Alex Bacon notes: Alex’s father was drafted by the Cardinals, and his Grandfather by the White Sox… Alex was astonished that he was chosen as a student athlete, which was his first… Unlike the rest of us, Alex is not intimidated by Coach Witter.
